I’ve been conspicuous by my absence on Whimpulsive over the last month – this isn’t because I’ve decided not to blog anymore but because I’ve been very busy with a new venture.
Without further ado, I bring to you the Mystic Links Network.
Our stores sell a huge range of items from all manner of Spellcraft/Ritual tools, Divination items, books, incence, herbs, right through to Alchemy Gothic and Nemesis Now items on Mystic Links Gothic. Our Discussion Forums are very much in the birhting stages, but anyone is welcome to join and our blog system is not quite finished. I look forward to hearing your comments and/or seeing you over there as well as on here
Before I get deep into this post, I have to state that I have a keen interest in the paranormal/supernatural and, although I don’t really do much now, I have been a witch for over 20 years. Do also note at this point that I say witch, not wiccan – they’re not same thing – but that’s a discussion for a different post. No, this post is about clairvoyants!
Now I have nothing against clairvoyants.. or mediums.. or spiritualists – whichever you prefer to call them. I have, in fact, seen a few that really did know things that it would have been impossible for them to have discovered either prior to the meet or during so I know some people are capable of doing something – just what that something is.. well, it’s open to interpretation. If anyone is interested, I will give some examples of what I’ve experienced with these mediums another time.
Now to the point!
I went to see a clairvoyant last night at a local pub called The Crown, in Higham. The clairvoyant in question was Eileen Proctor – she has a website HERE. If you followed the link, you’ll see there’s absolutely no information there – I could make so many comments about the lack of content, but I won’t!
She seems like a nice enough woman, short in stature, big on personality – as the saying goes – but I was very disappointed in her abilities. In a room of around 50 people, she spoke to approx 8 and the information she gave was entertaining (to me, at least). She told almost all of them that they were moving/had moved/was thinking about moving – be it house or furniture (good copout!), everyone had an item of jewellry, watch or clock belonging to a deceased person and if they said they didn’t, then they “needed to watch out for it.”
A few personal favourite moments -
Eileen – Do you know a George
Person – Ummm, george… george……
Eileen – Definitely George.
Person – I had a dog called George….
Eileen – Yes, that’s him. He sends his love to you!
Personal opinion – Stretching it, I feel…. why didn’t Eileen say George was a dog to begin with?

Eileen – Do you like to drive fast?
Young male – Yes
Eileen – You got a speeding ticket, didn’t you?
Young male – *gasp* yes, 2 weeks ago
Personal opinion – at the end of the show, I spoke to the guy in question, who was amazed at the accuracy, until I pointed out that since he’d answered that he loved to drive fast it was a pretty safe bet he’d got a speeding ticket and if he’d said no, he hadn’t she would have told him to start driving carefully as a ticket was on the cards.

Eileen – There’s an old woman holding a rosary… was your mother/grandmother catholic?
Two old women – *gasp* yes!
Personal Opinion – The two old women had strong Irish accents and were in their 60s at the very least, it stands to reason their ancestors were going to be catholic.

Eileen stopped a young man on his way out to the bar at the break, asking if he knew a young man who had died. He nodded and she promised to come back to him once she got going again. The break lasted for approx 20 mins – and the young man and the people with him (me included) stood at the bar, chatting. The young man’s mother, and a couple of other people mentioned that they thought she was talking about a ricky (name changed) and mentioned his name a few times before going back into the room.
After going back in, Eileen started again….
Eileen -”I have a young man who died… I know one person here knows him, but there’s someone else… The young man’s name is Ricky.”
Young Man – Yeah I know him.
4 other voices – “I know him too…”
Eileen – “Yes, I was going to say at least one… but as many as 4 others in this room.”
Personal Opinion – She had two other people with her at this evening event.. and voices carry…… need I say more?

And my ultimate favourite -
Eileen – Are you one of two siblings?
Man – No
Eileen – Three?
Man – No
Eileen – But you have two brothers?
Man – No
Eileen – then they must be people who are as close as brothers
Personal opinion – by this point I was laughing so hard I didn’t hear the man’s responses.
To sum up, maybe this wasn’t her best evening.. she definitely didn’t want to give me her business card at the end of the evening either.. but I took one anyway, because I’m like that. I’d like to think she was just having a bad night.. but it’s hard to say that with any certainty.
Have any of you, my lovely readers, had any experiences with mediums/clairvoyants – good or bad.. I’d like to hear them.. and if you are interested I’ll share the experiences I’ve had that cannot be explained away by pure guesswork, random comments that anyone can accept and other methods that are used.
